Old toys and modern day plastic.
The nostalgia of Vintage and of childhood gone by meets the denunciation of the mature Zeinalov Artist.

Frilli Art Gallery

In his Studio Gallery in Moscow, the artist Aidyn Zeinalov creates a dialogue between the child ego of the 70s and the male sculptor who looks around in a world that has changed so much in terms of climate and soul.

In recent years, Aidyn has undertaken extensive iconographic research on the Russian toys of her childhood, horses and donkeys, dolls and funny characters originally made of wood, tin and enamel which have become precious bronze castings which are displayed among her latest works.

The colorful world of toys alternates with twisted and dramatic plastic bags on pedestals.

Bags, bags, melted, cleaned and shiny packaging that in a spasm fold, wrinkle and scream their existence that remains over time, carried to the beaches by the sea, abandoned on the mountains and in the meadows.

Aidyn does not stop his evolution and as an incredible portraitist, creator of famous monuments, he challenges conceptual thinking by bringing objects on stage, in their purity and simplicity of form.
