Sergio Capellini was born in Bologna in 1942.
In 1962 he moved in Rome and he had his first approach with “making Art”.
In Rome he visited Museums and Art Galleries and he appreciated Medardo Rosso, Manzù, Marino Marini and Greco.
In 1978 he moved to Verona with his family, in the first years he had the Studio in town but in 1985 he decided to build an intimate space in the silence of the countryside near Verona City.
He took part to exhibitions in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Usa, Canada and Japan.
One of the most representative pieces of the 70’s , “Anche l’eroe muore”, is now hold in the permanent collection of the Hacone open air Museum,in Hacone (Tokyo).
