The Artistic career of Sauro Cavallini started in early 1950s in Florence.
In 1957 he opened his studio in the Florentine downtown and in 1960 he moved to Fiesole where he used to live and work in a house surrounded by a beautiful park.
His studio is now a Study Centre dedicated to his name and Artistic production.
Sauro Cavallini’s sculptures received many awards such as the “Fiorino d’oro” in Florence and the “Fiandra d’oro” in Genova.
The Artist worked on very important commissions and big monuments were placed in prestigious locations. The “Monument to the peace” at the Palazzo degli affari in Florence, The “Monument to life” at the Palace of Human rights in Strasbourg and many other sculptures in International pubblic squares keep the message of this incredibile Sculptore alive.
