A Bestiary in Bronze - Bjorn at the Accademia della Arti del Disegno
The oldest Academic Institution now houses the works of the brilliant Danish sculptor.
The spaces of the first Academy of Grawing Arts inaugurated by Giorgio Vasari and Vincenzo Borghini in 1563 and which had the elderly Michelangelo and the Duke Cosimo I de' Medici as its first two official "chiefs", are filled with color in celebration.
The famous Hippo Ballerina and Rhino Arlecchino, a classic representation of the colorful world in celebration, multiply in the latest colossal work "The Circus of the Animals" which introduces the famous couple and more than thirty iconic circus entertainers to the public.
Two other new sculptures in classic patinated bronze enter the exhibition paying homage to the great Alexander the Great.
