From marble to bronze, rebirth of a beautiful late 19th century marble

Months of work to allow "Nature Unveiling Herself Before Science" in a detailed replica of the famous marble by Louis Ernest Barrias created in 1899 and now exhibited at the D'Orsay Museum in Paris.

 

The customized project created for the customer required the clay modeling of the figure in full scale of 180 cm through an in-depth study of photographic material acquired directly on the original work and the lost wax casting of a bronze subsequently patinated with polychrome oxidation. A beautiful circular base in green ancient Egyptian Breccia marble (Fawakiri) concluded the great work
