Working moments in the Foundry, where ancient knowledge of artisans, technology and creativity of international artists meet each other. Workshop atmosphere, artistic craftwork, cultural crossroads. Casting is a team work pursued by the designer and the artisan who transfers his idea in bronze. Inside the foundry you can hear almost irritating noises of the metal being hit heavily and carved, acid and sticky scents of the wax being melted in the little stovens. In all of these steps, fire plays a key role.
In the end you feel a bit of a sense of loss in front of pieces of statues: heads, arms, feet recently cast, scattered on a working table, waiting to be chiseled and to be joint together.
An intriguing and emotional adventure that makes you loving sculpture.
