Vighen Avetis was born in Yerevan in 1968 from an ancient family that has always cultivated the love for the highest cultural traditions of his land. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in his city and in the study of a great artist, but he has not received any external influence because he has a strong character that leads him spontaneously in comparison with the masters of the Italian tradition. He completed his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and, since he was young, he has performed important works in bronze and marble.
In this sculpture Vighen represents such a delicacy and dreamy beauty rarely coexisting in a block of so massive white Carrara marble. The ethereal features of the woman's face are perfectly smooth and complete with a full mouth, perfect nose and half-open eyes. His headgear is simply hint in perfect harmony with the rough finish of the animal head.
