Sauro Cavallini's artistic career began in the early 1950s in Florence. In 1957 he opened his studio in the center of Florence and in 1960 he moved to Fiesole where he lived and worked in a large house surrounded by a beautiful park. His laboratory is now a study center dedicated to his name and his artistic production. Sauro Cavallini's sculptures received many awards such as the "Fiorino d’oro" in Florence and the "Flanders d'oro" in Genoa. The artist has worked on orders for large monuments that have been destined for prestigious locations. The "Monument to Peace" at the Palazzo degli Affari in Florence, "The Monument to Life" at the Palace of Human Rights in Strasbourg and many other sculptures in international public squares carry on the message of this incredible Sculptor.
