The timeless theme of the kiss, interpreted several times in the course of artistic history by Hayez to Klimt, is here also reworked by Giovanni Balderi in a completely new and original way that reveals the skilful and expressive touch of the artist. Balderi constructs a game of full and empty, of light and shadow, of hinted at and defined elements: an extraordinarily suggestive game, which brings to mind many models to which the artist must have been inspired by creating, however, something new that refers always to something else.
