These two scale reductions of the famous Chimera of Arezzo are part of the so-called "miniature collection" of the Frilli Gallery which portrays the major classical works in a reduced version.
The Chimera of Arezzo is that famous fantastic creature with the body of a lion, with a goat's head on its back and a snake's tail, which was found in the Renaissance period and which soon became one of the symbols of the city of Florence.
