Lost wax bronze replica from original mold.
The original is now conserved inside the National Archeological Museum in Florence.
The Etruscan Minerva was considered to be the goddess of wisdom, war, art, schools and commerce. Being the Etruscan counterpart to Greek Athena, like her, Minerva was born from the head of her father, Jupiter (Greek Zeus).
The beautiful and imperious goddess is presumably contemporary to the Etruscan Chimera, and was as well found during excavations occured around the city of Arezzo, Tuscany.
