Lost wax bronze casting.
This little statuette could either be god Narcisus or god Dyonisus. The masterpiece belongs to the greek school of Prassiteles, famous hellenistic sculptor.
He has an ivy crown on the head and it is not clear exactly what he is doing, He is maybe playing with a panther who was next to him.
In this case it would be interpreted as Dyonisus.
If he was to be considered as Narcisus instead he would be unmoving, in the attempt to hear the sublime voice of the nymph Echo mad of love and singing for him.
