Lost wax bronze cating.
This little statuette of a devil, or more of a gargoil as it looks like, was created by one of the masters of the Florentine renaissance, Giambologna (1529-1608)
The little devil was to be of ornament and to work as a standard-bearer on the facade of a noble Florentine palace, Palazzo Vecchietti.
Giambologna had created this as a thank you vote for the family who had hosted him.
